Cool as a cucumber in Gaochang, China

Here I am in the ancient city of Gaochang (1st century BC) China in September 2005. It's a hot 107 F, and dusty, but my Macabi Skirt washed and dried like a dream. I was cool as a cucumber (well, almost).

My sister is in the photo on the right, she had on a tight, hot, "travel" skirt. She complained she couldn't take big enough steps in her tight skirt and suffered from a swampy butt because her skirt offered no air circulation. It's a funny picture.
